According to a new website published by the IDF’s Logistics Department, ballistic helmets provided by Marom Dolphin are “endangering” the lives of IDF soldiers.
The website provides no ballistic tests or explanations as to how or why this is the case. It is widely known that the IDF issued thousands (if not tens of thousands) of unsafe helmets to frontline fighters from companies such as Rabintex and Orlite. Neither of those companies are still in business and could not be reached for comment.
Marom Dolphin products are widely used within both the IDF and the “Kitot Konenut" or civilian defense squads. If the products are truly unsafe and risk the lives of the users then there needs to be a national investigation immediately.
Marom Dolphin is the main vest provider within the IDF - why then would the company be allowed to produce helmets that “endanger” the lives of soldiers? How can the IDF work with such a company?
