The recent tweet by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene claiming President John F. Kennedy was assassinated for opposing Israel’s nuclear ambitions isn’t just false—it’s dangerously irresponsible. More plainly put, it's a stark reminder that Marjorie Taylor Greene is an unhinged conspiracy theorist whose views cannot and should not be trusted.
History demonstrates clearly how conspiracy theories linking Jewish or Israeli power to global tragedies rarely stay harmless. Such theories fuel suspicion, prejudice, and even violence, poisoning public discourse and isolating Jewish communities. Reviving these dangerous myths emboldens extremists and undermines social cohesion.
The claim that Israel’s Mossad was behind JFK’s assassination is completely without evidence. Extensive research from the Warren Commission to the House Select Committee on Assassinations has consistently shown no credible link between Israel and JFK’s death. Historical records, recently declassified documents, and Mossad’s known operational history further discredit such theories. Mossad operations historically targeted existential threats, such as terrorists or Nazi fugitives—not friendly heads of state. The idea of Israel assassinating an American president is absurdly counterproductive.
Even more troubling, Greene strongly suggested the grotesque possibility that Israelis might assassinate former President Trump, just as she falsely suggested they did Kennedy. Such reckless rhetoric, along with bizarre personal attacks on conservative figures like Mark Levin, underscores another threat: conspiracy theories fracture alliances, ignite unnecessary conflicts, and degrade conservative unity. It is critical for conservatives to identify Greene’s conspiratorial nonsense as destructive and to reject it decisively.
The "woke right," represented by figures like Greene, isn’t merely misguided—it’s profoundly dangerous. By embracing conspiracy, paranoia, and bigotry, this faction threatens to corrupt conservatism from within, undermining the foundational values of truth, reason, and moral clarity. Conservatives must unequivocally confront and eradicate this toxic cancer before it destroys the movement’s credibility and moral authority entirely.
