General Tamir Yadai has resigned from his position as the Head of the Ground Forces for the IDF.
Yadai infamously pledged to prosecute soldiers that accepted donations even though the soldiers were issued faulty equipment from the IDF.
There is no word on who will next take over as the Head of the Ground Forces but here are a few questions that must be addressed:
What steps will the IDF take to ensure that soldiers are not sent into combat with faulty equipment?
How will equipment be stored to ensure that it does not degrade due to weather conditions when not in use?
Will the IDF leadership work with donors to ensure that soldiers are safe until inventory levels are strategically acceptable?
Will the edict from General Yadai be “undone” formally? Most units are ignoring General Yadai’s threat but the idea of getting in trouble still lingers.
