Megyn Kelly is not a marginal commentator. She is one of the most prominent interviewers in American media, with a platform large enough to shape debate. That is what makes her recent embrace of Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens so bewildering. Her audience is not confused because they want her to echo their views. They are confused because she is aligning herself with figures whose record is not merely controversial but drenched in antisemitism.
Kelly can host whomever she wishes. But judgment matters. A host reveals who she is by whom she elevates. To present Carlson and Owens as “thinkers” and conversation starters is to launder their record of hatred and grant them legitimacy they do not deserve.
Carlson’s pattern is impossible to miss. At the September 2025 memorial for Charlie Kirk, he conjured one of the oldest antisemitic caricatures: Jews plotting murder in secret. He described “a lamp-lit room” where “a bunch of guys sitting around eating hummus” supposedly schemed to silence a truth-teller. The image was grotesque, a wink at Israel and at Jews as conniving killers. Kelly, instead of recoiling, said of him, “I love him.”
This is not an isolated moment. Carlson claimed on Glenn Greenwald’s podcast that the Iraq War was launched “at the behest of Israel.” The historical record shows that Israeli leaders warned Washington against the invasion. Carlson knows this. But he erases history to scapegoat Jews. He recasts American citizens such as Paul Wolfowitz, Douglas Feith, Richard Perle, and David Frum as foreign agents. He has also claimed Jeffrey Epstein worked for Israeli intelligence, suggested that Americans who serve in the IDF should lose their citizenship, and mocked Benjamin Netanyahu’s grief as “ghoulish.” This is not dissent. It is obsession.
Owens’s record is no less damning. She has called accounts of Nazi atrocities “bizarre propaganda,” described the Holocaust as something that “almost took place,” recycled the Khazar myth to strip Jews of identity, and revived the medieval blood libel by accusing Leo Frank of ritual murder. She has smeared Israel as a haven for “tens of thousands of pedophiles” and wore her designation as “Antisemite of the Year” as a mark of pride.
Nor does she limit herself to her own extremism. Owens gave a platform to Phil Tourney, a lifelong promoter of the USS Liberty conspiracy that has served antisemites for decades as supposed proof that Jews murder Americans. Six million people watched that episode. Carlson did the same by featuring Mother Agapia Stephanopoulos, a nun who falsely declared Palestinians the “first Christians” and circulated fabricated stories of Israeli atrocities. Neither host interrogated these figures. They sanctified them, turning lies into gospel.
And these are only a handful of the most glaring examples. Dozens more could be drawn from just the past year alone. Together they amount to a drumbeat of antisemitic slander that has become a defining feature of both Carlson’s and Owens’s public life.
Kelly did not host Tourney or Mother Agapia. But she has embraced the people who did. She calls Carlson a courageous truth-teller and defends Owens as a legitimate voice. In doing so she makes herself complicit. The confusion of her admirers is not that she talks to controversial figures. It is that she crowns them as brave thinkers when their record shows them to be propagandists of hatred.
The stakes are not small. Kelly’s show is not fringe. It is serious, popular, and influential. That is precisely why her posture is so damaging. By elevating Carlson and Owens she lends them credibility they could never achieve on their own. She takes fringe poison and serves it from the center of American media.
Of course Kelly can do as she pleases. But those who care about truth and integrity are equally free to walk away. And they are beginning to.
Every host reveals by her choices where she draws the line between disagreement and demagoguery. Carlson and Owens crossed that line long ago. By embracing them, Kelly has chosen to erase it.
Megyn Kelly built her reputation on clarity and courage. If she continues to normalize voices steeped in antisemitism, she will not simply disappoint her admirers. She will forfeit the moral authority that once made her indispensable.

did she build a “reputation on clarity and courage” or did she build a career on being a slim blonde?
lets not be naive here, its clear who megan is and why she does what she does
Disappointing & baffling that she felt the need to comment at all because it contradicts everything she said she represented. Its hardly surprising that people are upset with her - especially if she starts down the same path as Owens who had so much support from the Jewish community & Carlson
