When Candace Owens needs help, she turns to Zionists. That is not a punchline. It is a fact. Owens has spent the better part of two years building a media empire on the claim that Jews are dangerous, conspiratorial, and not to be trusted. She has accused them of controlling the media, orchestrating the slave trade, and being behind the JFK assassination. And yet, when the French First Lady Brigitte Macron sued her for defamation, the lawyer Owens hired was Marc Kasowitz, one of the most prominent Jewish attorneys in the country and a proudly pro-Israel Zionist whose firm has spent recent years suing elite universities for failing to protect their Jewish students. Investigative journalist Laura Loomer first broke the story.
The gap between what Owens preaches and what she does when her own money is on the line is genuinely staggering. It is worth spelling out in full.
Start with what she actually says. Israel, according to Owens, is a “cult nation” and a “demonic state.” She has claimed, with apparent sincerity, that Israel controls ISIS, that Israel had advance knowledge of the 9/11 attacks, and that Israel was somehow involved in the JFK assassination. She has held up a copy of “The Talmudic Jew,” an 1876 antisemitic pamphlet, on her podcast and urged her audience to read it, explaining that Jewish religious texts instruct Jews to steal from, lie to, and kill Christians. She has described modern Jews as “pagan gypsies who have been wearing the cloak of Judaism” since the fall of the Khazarian Empire. She has called Hollywood a network of secret “Jewish gangs” built to “supplant the Catholic Church” because “they hate Christians.”
Then Charlie Kirk was assassinated in September 2025, and Owens found a new obsession. Rather than mourn her former colleague, she turned his killing into a sprawling conspiracy theory that ran for months. She claimed to be “more convinced that Israel is involved” because Ben Shapiro seemed “too invested” in the case. She implicated Jewish and Zionist donors. By March 2026, she was telling her audience: “Charlie Kirk was the first casualty of the War in Iran. Never forget what they did to him.” Those episodes became the most-listened-to podcast in the world in late 2025. Grief, apparently, is good for business.
There is more. On a December 2025 podcast, she alleged that a secret Jewish cult practices “incest as a sacrament” and believes in raping children at age seven because it “conditions the child to grow up to be a psychopath,” and that this is the “guiding philosophy of people in Israel.” She has warned her audience that Chabad, the Hasidic Jewish movement, is digging tunnels across America and that “these people are dangerous.” She has promoted the Nation of Islam’s long-running conspiracy theory that Jews controlled the transatlantic slave trade and urged Black Americans to redirect their anger accordingly.
All of this delivered with a straight face to tens of millions of followers.
So when the Macrons filed suit in Delaware Superior Court in July 2025, seeking damages for Owens’s relentless, baseless campaign claiming that Brigitte Macron is secretly transgender, Owens needed a lawyer. A good one. And the lawyer she chose was Marc Kasowitz, the same Marc Kasowitz that former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman praised in October 2023, writing that he was “very proud” of his old law firm and former partner for holding elite universities accountable for “failing to protect their Jewish students.”
Shabbos Kestenbaum, who hired Kasowitz himself to sue Harvard over campus antisemitism, noted the obvious: “We have the same lawyer. Mark is a proud pro-Israel Zionist Jew. You are a low IQ demonic grifter who is too retarded to see the irony in this.”
The word “irony” is doing a lot of work in that sentence. What Kestenbaum is really describing is something closer to fraud. Owens has built a multi-million dollar media empire on the premise that Jews are a dangerous, conspiratorial force in American life. She has said so explicitly, repeatedly, and at great length. But when she needed the best defense money could buy, she did not call Nick Fuentes. She called a Zionist Jewish lawyer from New York.
That tells you everything you need to know about what Candace Owens actually believes.

Actually, it tells me more about Marc Kasowitz. I, too, am a lawyer who is an ardent Zionist and there is no way that I would ever, ever, ever act for anyone who vomited the obscene rhetoric that Owen does. My dislike for her and the fact that she has made the worst accusations against Jews, of which I am one, would put me in a position of a conflict of interest and call into question my ability to deliver the best defence. The “everyone is entitled to representation” argument doesn’t fly. There are lots of clients and cases lawyers refuse. There are lots of lawyers who would be delighted to act for her. IF, his agenda in acting is to expose her hypocrisy, that would be unethical. IF his agenda is to prove that Jews have the integrity to rise above these slurs and do the right thing, that is also unethical. It’s hard to believe that he really believes in the merits of her case and that he is the best person to represent her. Frankly, I am nonplussed.
Candace Owens is a glorified ape.
